WordPress makes it easy to create and display links to other websites or any other URL. When signed into your WordPress administrator area, look down the left hand column and find the word Links. If you cannot see the full menu as shown to the left, click on the little arrow to expand the menu. Here you will see that you can create Categories and then create a list of links by category.
When you installed WordPress, a list of links to various sections of WordPress.org’s website was automatically created as an example, all in a category called Blogroll.. You can go ahead and delete these, or if you wish to keep them as a reference but don’t want to display them on your website, edit the links and set them to Private.
Once you have created your categories and added your links, you can display them on your website by adding a Widget to your site.
